　　1. Do you enjoy travelling? [Why/ Why not?]

　　参考 回答 1 I enjoy travelling because it gives me a chance to see the world from a different perspective – I like to experience different cultures, scenery and points of view which I think only travelling can really provide.

　　参考 回答 2 I don’ t really enjoy travelling because it’ s a lot of hassle and can be really expensive for very little reward. Most of the countries in the world are pretty similar these days, so there’ s not much you can see in the way of traditional culture that you couldn’ t learn about just reading a book at home or watching TV.

　　2. Have you done much travelling? [Why/ Why not?]

　　参考 回答 1 I’ ve travelled quite extensively – I’ ve been to over twenty countries on four continents, but it still doesn’ t feel like enough. I’ d like to visit a lot more if I could.

　　参考 回答 2 I haven’ t done much travelling because I’ ve been too busy with my studies and other obligations. When I have travelled, it’ s usually been with my family, so I never had much choice in the matter.

　　3. Do you think it’ s better to travel alone or with other people? [Why?]

　　参考 回答 1 I don’ t think it makes much of a difference – neither travelling alone nor with other people will change the country you’ re visiting or your opinion of it. I suppose from a safety point of view, travelling with other people is better, though.

　　参考 回答 2 I think it’ s better to travel alone, because then you can get a more balanced idea of a country without having your opinions coloured by other people in your group. Plus, it’ s annoying to have to plan around other people – some in the group may want to visit a museum, while others want to visit a tourist trap, so in the end you just have arguments and no- one’ s truly happy.

　　4. Where would you like to travel in the future? [Why?]

　　参考 回答 1 I’ d like to visit Japan, because I’ m fascinated by their culture – I’ ve heard that they’ re a very polite people and I’ ve always loved their architecture and history. I think I’ ll probably visit there within the next year or two.

　　参考 回答 2 I’ d like to travel to the UK, because I’ ve always wanted to see Buckingham Palace and Baker Street – where Sherlock Holmes lived. Plus, I’ ve heard that all British men are gentlemen, so I’ d like to see if that’ s true.
