雅思白话考试的本质是——衡量考生用英文的沟通才能。也就是说在11-14分钟的考试过程中， 考官等待考生“天然，顺利，有效的沟通”。那么， 要达到天然，顺利，有效的沟通，有必要做到的是——“考生能听懂考官的发问并积极互动”+ “考官也能够轻松的理解你的意思”。

因而， 雅思官方所设定的“四大评分标准（流利度连贯性；词汇的运用；语法的运用；发音）”就是用来衡量考生用英文的沟通才能——Your ability to use English as a tool to communicate with the examiner in an effective manner.

今天， 来和大家聊聊流利度和正确度， 哪个更重要？我的答案是： 正确度更重要。

首要， 咱们有必要了解一下流利度和正确度究竟都包含哪些具体的内容。

流畅度（Fluency）包含：

l  考生在白话考试中，卡顿很少或无卡顿；

l  考生在白话考试中，自我纠错很少或无自我纠错；

l  考生在白话考试中，自我重复很少或无自我重复。

正确度（Accuracy）包含：

l  考生在白话考试中， 词汇运用精确；

l  考生在白话考试中， 语法运用精确；

l  考生在白话考试中， 发音及重音精确。

举几个栗子：

01 词汇运用过错

Part One 中， 有关学习方面的论题

考官：What do you do the most when you go to the school library?

考生：Well, what I often do is to write my homework as it seems all the teachers assign us so much work every day.

解析：

“写作业”的地道英文表达应该是do/complete/finish/work on homework;而write homework 是典型的中式表达； 即使考生的流利度再好，考官也听懂了考生的意思，这种词汇运用方面的过错还是会大大影响考生的终究得分！

02 语法运用过错

Part Two 中， 有关事情方面的论题卡:

Describe a time when you had to wait for someone

You should say:

Who you had to wait for

What you planned to do

Where you waited for him/her

And explain how you felt when waiting for him

考生的部分答案：Well, speaking of a time when I have to wait for someone, I think it is just 2 weeks ago when I wait for my friend, Peter. And he is a friend of me from college, and we plan to watch a movie at a cinema where is near our company...

解析：

语法方面三处过错：

1.      时态运用过错。 论题卡要求描述之前发生过的事情， 考生须运用曩昔时态；答案中动词have 因该是had；is应该是was；wait应该是waited； plan应该是planned；

2.      代词运用过错。“我的一个朋友”正确的表达是 a friend of mine, 而不是a friend of me (mine-我的； 是名词性物主代词，做主语；me-我，是代词， 只能做宾语)；

3.      关系词运用过错（定语从句）。这个定语从句中：we plan to watch a movie at a cinema where is near our company...，cinema 是先行词， 是定语从句要修饰的部分， 它是一个名词且做后边定语从句的主语， 因而这里需要用关系代词which或that， 而不能运用关系副词where。

总结： 即使考生的流利度再好，考官也听懂了考生的意思，这种语法运用方面的过错还是会大大影响考生的终究得分！

03 发音及重音过错

Part Two的论题卡是有关购物的论题，在Part Three 中，考官问了相关的问题。

考官：Why do some people choose to buy expensive jewelries to maintain value?

考生：Well, maybe that’s because certain jewelries made of jade or gold are less likely to depreciate in the long term. Instead, they probably would appreciate soon, which means it is wise way to invest.

解析：

考生答案中， 个别单词发音及重音呈现过错， 比方depreciate, probably, invest等等。发音失误可能导致两个问题：1. 考官听不懂考生在表达什么，呈现沟通妨碍；2.考官也有可能误解考生想要表达的意思，呈现沟通失利。别的，即使考生的流利度再好，单词发音方面的过错还是会大大影响考生的终究得分！

Anyway, I personally attach greater importance to the accuracy rather than fluency in IELTS speaking test. Therefore, I strongly suggest that candidates work harder to polish your English for a higher level of accuracy. However, Fluency should never be ignored.
