Very / so

Very这个词在英语表达中“very”是一个力度很低的词语，“very”的频繁使用不仅会让考官觉得无聊，还显示出了考生贫瘠的词汇量，甚至有的时候very并不能给句子加分，比如：My mother is very caring 和 My mother  very caring 两句的表达其实是没有因为very产生不同。

所以uu们，别再用毫无新意的very了，如果你的确有频繁使用very的习惯，可以在口语写作的练习中加以重视，适当使用一些替换词，逐步取代单调的very+形容词表达法，如：

very afraid terrified

very boring  dull

very careful  cautious

very cold  freezing

very difficult  challenging

Of course

不建议使用of course的原因有两个，因为这样的过渡会暗示你的读者以及听众并不聪明，或者你并没有充分解释你的想法。

Thing / Stuff

使用“thing”或“stuff”意味着你不知道如何描述一个物体或一些现象，暴露了自己的词汇匮乏，所以建议考生一定要学会用详细的词去进行描述表达。

Finally, I have taken my thingsto my new dorm.

Finally, I have taken my belongings（财物）to my new dorm.

The stuffin the meeting lasted more than two hours.

The proceedings（事件）in the meeting lasted more than two hours.

Always

使用always是典型的夸大了论点中的观点，因此，不建议托福考生使用这个副词，可以尝试替换为usually 。

My roommate alwaysthrows hisclothes on the floor.

My roommate usuallythrows hiclothes on the floor.

Never

这里特意指出，never和always有相似的问题，never也容易夸大。

My roommate neverlost her temper because she was a goodperson.

A lot

在关于数量的表达中，也要做到用词，并且正式，在写作中，a lot of/lots of表示为“许多”，较为不正式，除了使用many或者much来表达，还可以恰当的使用a plethora of进行表达。

A  lot  ofbooks are piled onto the bookshelves by the wall.

A plethora of（过多的）books are piled onto the bookshelves by the wall.

Good

在托福口语写作中小伙伴们是不是还在用 good？你的词库真的该更新啦！这些词不仅仅简单基础，无法体现出你的词汇量，也不能表示事物不同程度的“好”。

Nice

Really

Really的问题像开头提到的very和so，是一个不太精确表达程度的词，所以建议大家可以用更高 级的词汇替换表达：

Anything可以是一切事物，这种不准确的用词描述尽量不要出现在托福考试中，考生们需要学会详细描述事物，展开解释anything这个词也会让你的论据更加充分。
