9月托福口语考题
Task1:
Some people like to record life by taking pictures or keeping diaries, while others prefer to do nothing. Which one do you prefer?
Task2:
阅读:The university plans to allow beverages in the library because drinking coffee can help students study well, and it won't cause big damage on books or furniture if students are careful enough.
听力:The woman holds a negative idea. First, there is a coffee shop nearby, and it's only 2 minutes' walk from the library, so it is quite convenient and there is no need to have this permission. Second, accidents cannot be avoided. If accidents occur, books and furniture will be damaged, it would take much more time and money to clean it up.
问题:Explain the woman’s opinion and why she holds that opinion.
Task3:
阅读:Advertise profile: Before making ads, analysis should be made on consumers’ characteristics, attitude, and buying behaviors to guarantee the increasing profits.
听力:For example, milk companies found out that the majority of their customers were females, overwhelmingly mothers, who cared more about the nutrition in the milk instead of the taste. So when designing the ads for the milk company, their emphasis was on the nutrition of the milk. In the ad, the doctor kept stressing how nutritional the milk was and did not mention the taste at all. This really drew the attention of mothers and the milk sold well.
问题:Using the example to explain the concept.
Task4:
The professor talks about two adaptations for fixed ocean-bottom organisms to eat food in deep ocean. First, active strategy. There are some plant-like organisms which have some poisonous barbels to sting and paralyze other fishes and thus eat them. Second, passive method. Some other organisms, like oysters, wear a shell with them, and do not dare to capture other preys because they are afraid of being attacked when their shells are open. So, they just wait for the currents to bring food to them.

综合写作:
在伊拉克挖掘出的一件古代容器是否是古人用的电池
阅读文章观点:
1.如果是电池的话一定有导线,可是没发现有导线;

3.电池对古人没有用,因为他们没有电器。
听力讲座要点:
1.没有引线是有可能是因为当地人不像考古学家一样专业,当时发现了引线也没注意就当 普通东西没上交;
2.瓶子的发明可能是为了装别的东西,但是很有可能人们在使用的途中意识到了它的特殊 功效,并且之后把它当作电池用;
3.这个东西虽然用途与现代电的用途不同,但它可以用作其它用途,比如电别人来让别人 以为你有超人力量;或者是医疗用途,比如说治疗肌肉疼痛。
学术讨论写作:
Your professor is teaching a class on sociology. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.
Doctor Achebe
Let’s think about population trends in urban and rural areas (villages). Living in urban areas can be expensive; nonetheless, when they have a choice of where to live, people in some countries do not wish to live in rural areas even if the cost of living there is lower. If governments of some countries want to attract more people to live in rural areas or villages, what is the best strategy or approach that governments can use? Why?
ClaireI
would live in a rural area if the government gave more financial help to farmers. Although it may cost very little to live in a rural area, it costs a lot to begin a career in agriculture. If I had financial help, I would start my own farm and be happy to live in a rural area.
KellyIn
my country, urban centers are great places to live because you can access shops, restaurants, and museums. If the government of my country wanted to attract mo to live in a rural area, the area would first have to attract more businesses focused on entertainment and culture than most rural areas have now.
