很多备考的同学可能感觉，自己对花草植物这些并不了解，如果被问到这个话题，不知道说什么。其实我们之前有不少内容是可以借用的。

比如问到”What kinds of flowers do you like?”虽然不知道有些花的名称，又不想说玫瑰或百合这种太过普遍的选择，我们完全可以跳出具体的花名，结合颜色、公园或季节特征描述即可：

Honestly speaking, I'm not particularly interested in any specific type of flower, but I usually find flowers with bright colours pretty. Sometimes, I buy a bunch of fresh flowers from the flower shop, even though I don't know their names.

Well, I’m not sure about that, but there’s a lovely garden near where I live. It’s got some beautiful exotic flowers and plants. They look quite different from the local species. I enjoy going there to appreciate these lovely flowers, and I find them pretty pleasing to the eye.

当然，如果自己有知道的花名，是完全可以讲的，比如现在很多城市的公园会种樱花树，春季的时候，樱花盛开，是不是很美，是不是很多人都会去拍照。再或者，因为看了某部电影或电视剧而对某种花有了特别的了解和情愫。

I find many flowers lovely, but cherry blossoms are my favourite. In fact, there's a public garden in my neighbourhood where loads of cherry trees flourish. During the springtime, when these cherry trees are in full blossom, my friends and I enjoy cycling there while appreciating the stunning scenery.

I don't know much about flowers, but I've recently become obsessed with a TV series called Last Twilight, in which sunflowers mean a lot. The sunflowers in the series have left a lasting impression on me, and I've become fascinated with them. Whenever I see a sunflower, it reminds me of the touching scenes in the series.

Well, just like in other cultures, roses are a token of love and romance. That’s why roses are the first option when people send gifts on Valentine’s Day. Apart from that, many other types of flowers are specifically meaningful in one way or another. They might symbolise purity, fortune or good luck.

I have never sent flowers as a gift. These days, flowers are quite expensive, and I don't think they offer good value for money. When giving a gift to my friends or family members, I prefer other options like a bottle of perfume, a red envelope or something.
