Step 1: 首先试着让两位学生回答第 一问：where it is？ eg: Where is Fulin Mansion (福林大厦）？得出的答案往往是比较常见的“方位”描述，无法再进一步拓展。

Step 2: 学生回答“where it is”思路匮乏，补充“location+distance+transportation”延展方法。

1）location：

“主体”位于： be situated in / be located in / lie in / sit in / be at the foot of…

“参照物”对比：next to / opposite to / on the other side of… 

2）distance：

通过时间/距离量化地点：

表示“距离近”的描述（替换“near”等基本表达）：It’s only within few steps from A to B. / It’s a short walking distance from A to B.

表示“距离远”的描述（替换“far away”等基本表达）：It’s a long car journey from A to B. / It’s 30 minutes cycling from A to B. 3）transportation：

描述到达地点所使用的交通工具：

步行前往：I just walk there. / I used to pass by XXX on my way to school.

乘车前往：I usually take Bus No.30 / Underground Line 3 and get off at XXX station.

Step 4: What it is like? 此问会引入“布局法” 与“五感”描述方法。

1）布局法：

课堂活动：找A同学在草稿纸上画出自己常去的公园的“布局”，教师在课件上补充常见”公园设施”词汇（bench, temple, blossoms, swing, fountain…)。在学生描述的同时，邀请B同学上台讲所听到的细节描述画到黑板上。最终，将两人答案进行比照。此课堂活动的目的是让学生能够意识到“布局法”的描述可 以让描述更加具有“画面感”，而不是单纯的“there be”句型的套用。

2）五感法：

在描述公园景色时，我们还可以通过五感（听觉/嗅觉/触觉/视觉/味觉）来丰富语言：

eg: 味 觉 ——When you take a stroll in the park , you’ll smell sweet fragrance of the blossoms.  

听觉/视觉——I used to sit by the brook, hearing the birds twittering and seeing the leaves flutter.

Step 5: What you did there?
