a raft of

a raft of: a large number of。通常接可数名词，一般不接表示人的词语。

比如我们在口语中回答如何解决环境问题时可以用到这个表达：

I assume governments should launch a raft of initiatives to deal with the alarmingly growing environmental problems. 

在描述与生日或其他特殊场合、节日相关的话题时：

It’s one of the most memorable birthdays I’ve ever had. I was on cloud nine coz I got a raft of lovely gifts. 

Birthdays are probably the most well-liked celebration for children. You know, it’s the day when they receive a raft of gifts. 

再比如当季雅思口语Part 3提问为何企业要不停提出新产品，我们也可以用到这个表达：

Obviously, companies constantly introduce a raft of new products to defend their market share.

在描述网络购物经历时：

When I contacted their customer service and reported the problem, I was rather annoyed by their attitude. I mean, they just gave a raft of excuses and useless suggestions. 

a swarm of/swarms of

a swarm of/swarms of: a large group of insects, birds (e.g. bees); a crowd of people all moving together。指成群的昆虫或鸟类，另外也可以指成群的人，一大群人。需注意的是，在使用这个表达形容人群时，往往是比较贬义的色彩（与a gaggle of相近）。

比如描述旅游或旅游地相关时：

After all, it’s a hugely popular seaside resort. Each Spring Festival, swarms of tourists come here to escape the cold and enjoy stunning views and a relaxed lifestyle.

It’s a newly opened mall, and I thought there wouldn’t be many people. But I was wrong. By the time I arrived, swarms of people were browsing around. 

The park is famous for its abundant cherry trees, and of course, it’s a must-visit spot during the cherry blossom season. I went there once with my bestie. We should have arrived earlier. It was 10 a.m., but swarms of people were queuing up outside and shuffling over to the entrance. 

a spate of

a spate of: a large number of similar things that happen in a short period of time。指突然来的一大批、一大堆事物。比如：

Flowers are definitely a favoured option. If you’ve ordered flowers on festivals, say Valentine’s Day, you’ll know the florist's would be working around the clock to deal with a spate of orders. 

再比如：

Each year, a spate of new technologies is introduced. Failing to embrace these technologies means lagging behind or being left out of society.

Businesses were struggling to make ends meet, not to mention fat profits. In fact, the pandemic worsened the situation, resulting in a spate of redundancies in various fields. 

dozens of

dozens of: a lot of。后面可以接表示人或事物的词语。比如雅思口语中会讲到street markets:

The night market is bustling on weekends, where you can find dozens of kinds of night snacks.

再比如：
