　　在考古学上，新石器时代是石器时代的最后一个阶段，是以使用磨制石器为标志的人类物质文化发展阶段。这一名称是英国考古学家卢伯克于1865年首先提出的。这个时代是继旧石器时代之后，或经过中石器时代的过渡而发展起来的，属于石器时代的后期。新石器时代大约从1万年前开始，结束时间从距今5000多年至2000多年不等。

　　1. Today, we are going to move on to the period between 4 and 6 thousand years ago, known as the Neolithic period，which is when a total fanning economy was introduced in Ireland.今天，我们继续讲4～6千年前的阶段——新石器时代，这是爱尔兰引入农业经济的时期。个定语“known as the...”修饰前面的“period”;第二个非限定性定语从句修饰“Neolithic period”。

　　第35～40题是完成句子。其中，第35题要注意题干中的“pulled”与原文中“drawn”是同义关系。第36题比较容易，因为答案比较简单。第37题的答案是“Scotland”，也比较容易听到。第38题要注意信息前置，因为先听到答案“outside”，然后才能听到定位信息“polished”。虽然第39题与第38题的答案在文中出现的距离比较近，但只要注意力集中，也不是太难。第40题不难。
