In conclusion, while the argument for imprisoning all lawbreakers is rooted in the desire for a strict deterrent, the alternative of community service for minor offenses presents a more nuanced and potentially effective solution. It balances the need for punishment with opportunities for rehabilitation. In my opinion, the justice system should be flexible, tailoring punishments to the individual circumstances of each offense to achieve a fair and just society.
