To be honest, I don’t have many chances to meet wild animals cos I hardly ever go to the national park, the forest or something like that, but there was one time when I encountered a crazy ostrich.

I still remember it vividly. It was about 8 years ago when I was still working in Zimbabwe, a less-known country in Africa. Well, it was a beautiful weekend with tender sunshine and soft breeze. My colleagues and I decided to drive to a safari park near the capital, Harare. We were dead excited cos we had been working around the clock and finally we got some time off.

When we arrived at the park, the peaceful and tranquil scene took our breath away — zebras, giraffes and ostrich, to name just a few. All these adorable animals were living in great harmony and enjoying the pleasant ambience. I was staring at the scene when my colleague, Milton turned to me, ‘Ceci, wanna snap a pic here? Your dress fits the scenery so well. Let me take one of you and the elegant ostrich behind you！’ ‘Yeah, why not!’ I delighfully replied. Then I began to pose myself for a great pic.

However, all of a sudden, "the mild and friendly" ostrich behind began approach me in a weird way. I sensed something wrong somehow, so I got out of the place immediately. You know what?! The ostrich followed me; I really freaked out and ran away, yelling ‘help’. He speeded up and chased me all the way. Finally I ran into our van, locked the car, and shut the window. It was a narrow escape! The ostrich seemed irritated and kept kicking the car. Well, it was about 20 minutes later that he eventually left. When my colleagues got back to the car, they laughed hysterically - the scene was so hilarious.
