禁止露天广场大声播放广场舞音乐或禁止小区附近的商家大声播放音乐；

家长不得私自支配、占用小孩的压岁钱；

So, I've been putting up with this racket for ages, and very often, it's enough to get under my skin. The other day, for instance, I was working on a report, but I couldn't focus at all because of the deafening music. Then, I gave the nearby police station a call to report the unpleasant situation. The officer I spoke to was friendly and said they'd send someone to check it out. Sure enough, shortly later, the food spots turned down the volume - but music from square dance was still as loud as ever. I gave the station another call, but they said they could only ask for the music to be turned down, unable to enforce any rules.

Now you can understand why I'm all for bringing in a stricter law to tackle noise pollution, especially in cases where it is driving people up a wall. Actually, there's a lot of talk in the news about folks fed up with all this loud music from the square-dancing people. If we were to put a more stringent law into action, it'd be a boon to residents in the area.
